New Show Explores Ancient Art Form

More and more Americans are getting tattoos. In fact, one in five adults in the U.S. (21%) now has at least one tattoo, which is up from previous years. And a growing number of them are choosing Japanese-style images. Now a renowned museum in Richmond, Virginia, is celebrating the ancient art of Japanese tattoo with a special exhibit. VOA’s Julie Taboh was there to find out more about this centuries-old tradition.
